Synopsis

Madeira was supposed to be sunlight, sea air, and harmless flirtation.

Then Nanette came along.

Beautiful, spoiled, brilliant, and eighteen, Nanette can turn a hotel terrace into a theatre and every man around her into an audience. Devoted young Jack Larkin would do anything for her. George Devlin, older and wiser, knows she is trouble. Her mother knows it better still.

But when Nanette meets Major Edmond O’Mara, a legendary officer travelling under mysterious orders, and Gabriel da Rocha, a dangerously handsome stranger from the River Plate, the island comedy darkens into something else.

Da Rocha wants Nanette.

O’Mara wants a stolen black dispatch-box.

And inside that box are letters that could compromise a royal house and hand a hostile intelligence network a weapon powerful enough to shake governments.

Under the moonlit terraces of Madeira, flirtation becomes pursuit, jealousy becomes violence, and one reckless girl discovers that danger is not always romantic — and not every rescue can come in time.

Moonlight Over Madeira is a stylish romantic adventure of espionage, glamour, youth, honour, and moonlit danger on an island where beauty hides secrets and innocence is a perilous disguise.
