Synopsis
In The Long Peace, Book Three of The Harald Chronicles, the world begins to discover that being saved is not the same as being free.
With the threat of annihilation gone, the great powers march again — and in the burning south a new kind of shepherd rises: a man who feeds his people and sells their daughters, who has learned the King’s oldest secret and set a price on his head. To stop the wars, the King is asked to do the one thing he has refused for a thousand years: come out of hiding, and act.
